That's a good price. YES, it's worth the money.
Let's not forget that not very long ago any 1911 was desired.
Now days everyone wants the bells and whistles, flashing lights, and all the custom hand fitted guns.
Nothing wrong with a good basic 1911 at a great price.

I have an R1S that I'm really happy with. That's a steal for that gun. They are not be best 1911s out there, but are a good, solid choice for an entry level gun. For some reason, the R1S is a really nice shooter. I've owned some higher end 1911s and until the Dan Wesson bug bit, the R1S was always the favorite shooter. I enjoyed shooting the R1S much more than I did shooting my Ed Brown.

I've got an R1 Stainless, and it is a sweet shooting gun with the most buttery smooth slide of any handgun I've got. The only one close is my Wilson Combat Beretta 92G Brigadier Tactical. My R1 is accurate, too. I love it. I paid a bit more than what you can get them for now, especially after rebate.

This. It is a very serviceable pistol. Reliable, accurate, durable. Not a top of the line gaudy safe queen or something for the braggart at the range. It just does what a pistol is supposed to do, every time, for a long time. And it is affordable.

    Buy it!

I've been going back and forth on picking up one of the Oil Rubbed Bronze 10mm Longslides, but now I found a local place with a Kimber K6S on the shelf... Too many decisions.

Hmmm.... after that sub 300.00 ATI debacle that turned out to be a shooter, and not a debacle at all, I've always wanted one, hmmm......

Oh, lord. The last thing my checkbook needs is a 1911 collection.
