I just bought a S & W MP9 Shield. LGS had a 10 percent off deal so I got it for 360. S & W has a 75 dollar rebate on shields right now so I got it for 285. LGS also threw in a free 8 rd magazine.

    Did I do okay?

Also can any shield carriers let me know what holsters they use and like? I'm looking for a leather, owb with a retention strap.

Sorry, it is never a good thing to ask about the price after you buy the gun.:):
I paid less than that for the .45 version.

    Could be anywhere
You paid money, you have a gun = good deal. Don't over think it after the fact. I sometimes check prices afterwards but at the time I got what I wanted for a price I was willing to pay. Sometimes not waiting for an on-line auction, not waiting for shipping, not paying a transfer fee are its own rewards.

Somebody else's good deal seems to never be around when you need it.

I bought one a few weeks online for $294 out the door, -$75 rebate, plus the $25 transfer fee, =$244.
you pay $360 plus tax ?

So $244 vs $285 (w/ an extra mag)
    He did just fine!!

I paid 360 plus tax... less 75 dollar rebate ...plus free 8 round magazine. So I guess 360 plus 25ish tax minus 75 rebate minus 35 dollar magazine. Equals 280 give or take.

Yep the $10 he might have saved would not be worth the hassle of ordering online. Which truth be told is not that big a deal but spending a couple extra bucks is worth it to support a local brick and mortar store.

I really like my ETW OWB holster for my Shield. Holds tight to the body, great retention and looks good to boot! Rides high enough to conceal well under untucked shirts which is what I usually wear.

I have an N82 IWB but I don't like carrying IWB.

Place in Gas City had/ has the 8rnd mags for $20 which is a pretty good deal. I think the gun ended up being $260 after rebate.
