Hi all, my brother offered to buy me a nice graduation gun (heirloom quality, something i wouldn't buy for myself).
I asked INGO for some input a while ago.
I was choosing between a few 1911s and revolvers, and maybe even a few oddball plastic guns. Well, the verdict is in -- it'll be a Dan Wesson 1911, either the Specialist (railed) or V-Bob.
I'm stoked! !! I just wanted to share the good news.

This is a little premature because i haven't defended my PhD dissertation yet... but now this serves as a little bit of motivation (though he may give me the gun as soon as this week)

Congratulations! If you need someone to hold the gun, and even break it in, while you are working on your dissertation then I would be happy to do this for you. :)
    Good choice!

congratulations. Just dont sell it when you need money! I have made the mistake of selling and trading off guns that i should have kept just because i was in a pickle.

When my son graduated from Purdue in 2015 I bought him a Beretta shotgun. He was on the trap and skeet team and I thought it would be the perfect gift. Turns out I was dead on with that choice of graduation gift. Now we continue to shoot trap and skeet together and somehow he always beats me! I would not have it any other way.
