THere are 4 (or 5 - depending on school of thought) rules for gun safety.
They are a variation of these:
1 - treat all guns as being loaded, "All guns are loaded"
2 - keep muzzle pointed in safe direction, or, "don't point the gun at anything you're not willing to destroy"
3 - finger off trigger until sights are on target
4 - know your target and what's beyond it

This vid is a good reminder of what can happen when these rules aren't followed.

I can say it in Spanish "la pistola no esta cargada", but how do I say "eet ain't low-dead" in Afrikaans?

Also, need to know how to say "Dem rulez don't no ways app-lie to da kom-batt 'cause I is special" in Afrikaans, Xhosa, Venda and maybe Zulu.

So many world languages, so little time...
I can help with Spanish and Portuguese (and take an educated guess in Italian/French/Catalan/Romanian/Galician)... but not much help outside of romance languages.

There are dozens more, actually, but many of those just don't apply to safe gun handling.

I did find the most important one hiding in there, which is nice:

...keep muzzle pointed in safe direction, or, "don't point the gun at anything you're not willing to destroy"...

    ALWAYS. :yesway:

True, there are more rules than that. I guess those just compile the most essential to safe handling

Ugh. That police officer one was indeed hard to watch. The other one, not as hard, but still a shame that someone had to lose their life. They were being total idiots for sure, and deserve some form of punishment, but sheesh. "Death by idiot" is hard to watch.
