If this is your EDC I would not modify the trigger. If its just for competition, go for it!!!
Just curious, why do you say this?

If for some reason you have to use your EDC for defense, and you have modified your weapon, the attorneys will crucify you for tuning your weapon to be more destructive that the manufacturer intended it to be. Also if you are in a situation where you had to use your EDC, you will be in an adrenal rush, and your modified trigger will be much easier to fire than the factory trigger.
I have taken several courses and the first thing they tell you is NEVER modify your carry weapon or the courts will not look on your weapon favorably.
Ayoob, among others is of this opinion. It's just one more thing you may have to "explain" that you can easily factor out by not modifying the trigger on your carry gun. Depends on your risk tolerance and desire to mitigate potential legal risk. It is a subject that has come up in court cases before. It's not hypothetical.Coup

I have been thinking about upgrading my Gen 4 19 trigger. I am looking for advice on who has done this, what is recommended and who on here could install it for me. I'm located between Lafayette and NWI. Also, I would like to install night sights and have these two upgrades done at the same time.
As usual Ayoob goes a little too far for my tastes, BUT as I have mentioned before, I have a lot of respect for him always posting evidence to back up his claims. Can a modification be a problem? Yes. Is it likely to? Not that often. As you mentioned, how much of a chance do you want to take.
My main reason for not heavily modifying the trigger system on a carry gun is not liability, but REliability...
