    Looking for a little advise...
My son, whom is in the army and currently in Afghanistan is wanting to get the new M&P 2.0 45cal, with Stryker fire, no thumb safety, when he get back state side.

I'm not familiar with this gun but I'm wanting to pick this up for him before he gets back. Where would be best place to buy one that will have all the specifics he's looking for, any advise?

Most gun shops will carry the M&P line. They are all striker fired except the new .380 Shield. Just find the .45 without a thumb safety and you're good to go. I'm not familiar with your area so I can't give you a specific shop.

Believe it or not, if you're not in a hurry, Rural King had a sale on them in Jan.
You would have to wait till they ran it again,
and maybe they won't run that sale again for a long time:
    don't know their patterns.

This is some of what I posted on Jan 7. 2018:

    Rural King: S/W M/P 2.0 Compact: $385 ???

Hoosier Armory sells it every day for $486, which usually has the best new prices that I have found,
and the Rural King ad says they sell it regularly for $439,
    which really surprised me,
comparing the Hoosier Armory price of $486.

Well, i picked up an MP 9c 2.0 from 4Guns in Lafayette. They are great to work with. And i love the gun. Trigger is vastly improved. I love the tactile reset.

That's Bud's cash discount price though.

It also says something about "Qualified Professional Discount" ? https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/qualified_professional_discounts.php

Looks like for folks who don't qualify for that they are quite a bit more:

Cash discount price just means through your checking account, not a credit card. That's the police/mil price which his son would qualify for but he'd have to order it. The regular price is 489.00 it looks like.

I get it but the grab a gun price requires none of that...

I posted an earlier pic of a 2.0 with a safety, but noticed this in one of my threads also at Rural King awhile back.
This one at Rural King had no safety:

Unless you can get a military / police discount yourself, you might want to wait until he gets back. Many places offer military discounts that might save you several dollars.

He's not looking for a Shield or a Compact 2.0. He's looking for the full size 2.0 in .45 ACP.

GrabAGun has them for $415, which is actually better than the LE/Mil price at Bud's.
