I'm buying a lot of ammo off of rural king cuz they have a pretty good selection at a fair price, unfortunately I can remember when they limited you to three boxes IF they had the stuff.I'm shooting a lot of .22, so I'm hitting RK pretty hard.

I have purchased two pistols from RK at the Jasper and east Evansville locations.
Less than 20 min from entering in the store till be escorted out.
Purchased a lot of ammo cheap.
I think it may just be a issue with the northern stores?

I have no complaints about the Columbus RK. Have bought 3 pistols and ammo in the past couple of years.

As with all stores, i attempt to go during less busy hours/days.

I like the Columbus store as well. I've picked up a couple pieces there. Nice staff at the counter. Got an Anderson lower there for my pistol build and a few years back I got a killer deal on a Shield 9. I'll continue shopping there.

I've purchased several pistols, ammo, and a gun cabinet in the past year from RK. I've learned that when they have a sale , it really is a sale. As stated above, I try and time my visits to their less busy times. But I do that with Menard's, Walmart and LGS's too.

I won't buy there..they drop value of every gun that they put on Sale. Customer service sucks.. only thing good bout rural King is the popcorn you get for free. Lol

Isn't it easier to just go to cabelas since they are always.decently priced on 9mm. Shipping for buying online always kicks ya where it hurts.

As for buying guns there I never have. I'm still not to sure givin the 50/50 ratings. Sucks the nearest one for me is 65 miles away

took over 1 1/2 hours to get the 4473 and Escorted out of the store. Put Rural King in the search box.

Sounds like that was a problem with you and not Rural King. Took me almost 3 months for mine at my local gun store (not RK) but I don't blame them. It was the ATF/FBI who chose to deny me based on another individual with my same name. As for being escorted, they can follow me out the parking lot if it saves me some extra bucks.

I have only been to the RK in New Castle, but have had good experiences with the counter people.
I gotta think the whole escorting people to the door with a firearm purchase is driven by insurance, and security policy. Which doesn't bother me..while being escorted they don't know about the pistol I am concealing. Lol.

I had a unusual occurrence at the Jasper store when I went there to see if they would honor their price match guarantee on a S&W 642. I had found an ad from a local gun shop that was several dollars less than RK's normal price (I had to go to RK anyway, so why not)? When I asked, the guy at the counter said he would have to ask the manager.
OK, so we were going to play that game. No worries, not really surprised about that.
Several and I do mean SEVERAL minutes later, the manager appeared and I showed him the ad and he stated that they don't price match gun shops only places like Academy and Bass Pro. After trying to process that amount of stupid, I pointed to the large sign behind him that proudly proclaimed their price guarantee and politely asked him to show me where it listed that disclaimer. I also told him that I would be fine with going to the other store if he didn't want to take my money. After some thought and again asking me to show him my ad, he made the executive decision to honor the gun store's price.
So after all that, I felt honored to have my own escort to help me find my way out of the store.
