For the past few years i have been getting my wife a new firearm for mothers day slash her birthday. This year she held a few different ones. Ultimately she fell in love with the officer size Ruger 9 mm 1911. Can't wait for her to shoot it. I am totally sure she will like it more than her lcp.

Now that is a "Happy" Mothers day my friend.
Indeed she really likes the size and feel of it went out back and took the brush hog to the range area so we can all go out back and shoot tomorrow. It's becoming a family tradition to shoot on mother's day as a family.

Seeing her light up was awesome.

I think you'll all like the new SR1911 Officer. Mine has become my EDC. I know it's not much, but so far I have 250+ trouble-free rounds through mine, and I can't wait to get it out again soon! It's a surprisingly soft and pleasant shooter for such a small package.

Edit: there's a thread on this a bit further down with a few pics: https://www.indianagunowners.com/forums/handguns/447514-rugers-new-1911s-9mm.html
