Seems interesting! Thoughts? Was looking to add the 4 inch barrel to my collection but this seems different. I currently have a glock 19 and the size of that is almost perfect to me for ccw. so the 4 inch 2.0 was going to be my next pick up. but this now? hmmmmmmm

it also seems like a direct replacement to the original M&P 9C at this point.

I don't see less than half an inch as a game changer, my wife may disagree. It kind of muddies the aftermarket support for the platform up.

How's that? Same holsters, same sight options, same mags. Not a game changer, sure, but nice to have options.

I think it looks better than the 4 inch model. Three inch revolvers are very popular, I see this as a similar option in a semiauto.

Aftermarket barrels are already a major pita in the M&P realm. I would personally want a shorter holster if I had a shorter barrel, that is the difficult part to conceal. Like carrying a glock 19 in glock 17 kydex. Sure it'll fit, but you have a half inch of plastic more than you need. I just don't see why they would crowd their own market. Most people with the current compact won't go out of their way for .4" change, and I doubt this tilt buyers who were on the fence one way or the other. Options are good, but it also adds a lot of overhead and I just don't see how this will be a smart choice from a business standpoint.

This might be worth checking out to me. I have a Shield and I held the 4" model. I thought the 4" model was too close to a full size so I passed. This new one might hit the sweet spot for me. I don't really want the Sig 365 as it's again, very small.

I have been looking at a snub nose revolver and may still go that route but if this pistol is similar in size but I get 10 more rounds, I will give it a serious look.

Looks like the same size slide as on the original compact models. Probably fits those holsters just fine.

Having a M&P 9c with a 3.5" tube I think I will pass. My full size M&P 9 isn't much bigger in grip or length than my G 19 to even Warrenton getting the new compact.

My guess is they are going to also release a 12+1 or 10+1 something similar in a 3.6" I love the 4" barrel on my M2.0 Compact so I'll pass on this. Id say they are going to have a 4.25" line, a 4.0" line and a 3.6" line. Although I'm not willing to put money on it.
