The size difference vs the P229 doesn't make it worth adding to my collection. In a magazine capacity restricted state, maybe, but I've got the P245/P220 combo for that. If you want the extra little bit of thinness or just like single stacks, it's a nice gun.

I've handled the 225, liked what I saw, never fired one.

I kind of wanted one, but I have two 239s, so............ The somewhat hefty price tag and the fact that my stash of 239 mags won't fit the 225 made me decide against the purchase.

I'll stick with a 239, for now, even I think SIG has discontinued the 239, and I'm seeing pretty crazy asking prices for the magazines............

Mine is a P6, not a P225. That being said, it's a fine pistol. Solid, reliable and accurate enough. The P01 is also a wonderful pistol. Tough choice.

Bought a P6 that an old INGOtarian had gone through. Best balanced 9 I've ever had.

Like a fool I traded it off.

Few years later found another stock one.

    I carry it occasionally.

    Still a nice shooting pistol.

Pretty much this. Its a good gun, but its pretty much a low cap 228\229. Not sure what the actual specs are, but to me it didn't feel much thinner for the capacity loss.

    I have a 228.

    Handled the 225 tonight.

I sure felt great but yeah looking at it, sure wasn't much thinner than the 228/229.
