I recently picked up one of the new Regent BR9 Hi-Power clones in blue (a SS version is also available). I've been pretty impressed so far, the overall fit and finish are nice. Very nice slide/frame fit etc. I got it for around 500.00, shoots well, I was able to get 1-1.5" at around 8yds or so. Anybody else pick one up?

    I really wanted one.
Looked at one at my LGS, it’s definitely a decent piece.
But just like the original, I got hammer bite just from cycling the action.
I really wish they’d have extended the beaver tail just a little bit.
So unfortunately, it’s just not for me.

I hear ya, not sure why they used the old oblong ring hammer, makes it worse for sure.

I am a fan of the ring hammer. It has such a classic look. Lucky for me the hammer just lightly kisses the web of my hand. This is the first I have heard of the Regent BR9 Hi-Power clone. Looks good. I also read up on them and they seem to be of good quality. If I did not already have 3 clones, I would be interested. Hopefully it gets others interested and they see how fine the design of a HP is.

So far so good, they've been pretty popular among the HP guys on 1911forum etc. I know Cylinder & Slide are building custom packages with them so they should be decent! I know some earlier ones had some extractor/firing pin stop issues but those were corrected awhile ago, many just bought Browning extractors and FP stops and continued to drive on.
