I have one of my "idiot" questions.
I saw a sign posted in the entrance to the Gun Show, "No loaded Guns."
I was surprised and thought perhaps the sign was on the building's entrance and applied to the Fair when they had it going on.
I asked the guy taking the money and he said noone is allowed to have a loaded gun.
I just assumed that everyone going into a gun show would have a CC on them, but was told you could be arrested.
I didn't have mine with me, but it did surprise me.

Does that mean at the Indy 1500 Gun and Knife Show that noone is carrying?

Most gun shows ask that you don't carry loaded guns on the premises. Mostly this is to cut down on the number of people waving loaded guns around when trying out new hoslsters, accessories, etc.

Nit sure where the Marion County show is held, but most likely you could theoretically be tresspassed if found to be carrying, not arrested.

Indy 1500 does have the same no loaded weapons policy, but that doesn't mean people aren't carrying.

EVERY gun show that I have attended has a "no loaded guns" policy

It's a safety issues the reason they say that is because they have had several ad's in the past with people trying to unload guns on the floor during the show.

I've witnessed at least three NDs at gun shows over the years (floor, wall, floor again). Profanity ensued. I figure with all the fantasy swords laying around the bad guys would be sushi in short order.

Stupid people are why we cannot have nice things.

If you want to try holsters, bring your gun unloaded.

If you are carrying (do I have to say a loaded gun or is carrying enough) never (I said and mean never) unholster unless you (or someone else is) are in fear of serious bodily injury or death.

Pretty simple unless you are an idiot.

ETA You can take it off to go to bed, but it is not required.

It seems like someone managed to shoot their finger off with a 1911 leaving the 1500 a few years back.

Do those that ignore ones rules with others personal property rights have rules for there personal property rights that they uphold?

    Asking for a friend....
As long as I don’t see it or hear about it there’s nothing I can do about it. And yes it’s that simple.
