I opted for this one, 2.5" with a dovetail front sight , 6 shot .357 , would like to find someone to replace the springs with Wilson springs eventually, not really a Wiley Clapp but those are hard to find and this was cheaper.

If you're even mildly coordinated, the springs on a GP100 are extremely easy to swap out. Standard caveats apply (lawyers, reliability, etc., all on you).

Watch a few of these and you'll quickly get the hang of it

Here's a resource that will probably tell you more than you want to know. It was written a few years ago by a guy who goes by the handle "Iowegan" on rugerforum.net. Back when I got the book, I had to have him email it to me, but someone has posted it here:

I figured you would go for the Ruger 1780 3” 10mm with Novak sights similar to the Wiley Clap pickup.

I really considered that, they do make a Wiley Clapp 10mm , but something about that round in a short barrel does nothing for me, I have always been on the side that a 10mm needs atleast 5 inches of barrel to do its magic. Kind of like putting a 9mm in a snub, just doesn't interest me, not for any particular reason it just doesn't work for me.

I understand on the short barrel 10mm. This is my most used revolver. I have it smoothed our really well. If you were closer, I’d tell you to bring it over. They are pretty easy to slick up and I keep springs in stock.

I travel south down towards Bedford and Mitchell on a regular basis , but don't know where you are located, I think I have found some springs to order and watched videos about polishing the moving parts , I think I can handle that, I work on Sig P series often so it shouldn't be any harder than those
