Revolver or auto. I'm not necessarily saying *lightest* but rather Smoothest. That might be your Cajunized 75, an LCR, or P250, your massaged P226--you tell me.

I ask because I'm really starting to appreciate the advantages of DA and DAO and curious as to how good it gets.

I personally always thought the P250 was excellent and super under-rated.

    My S&W Model 586.

This is also a test post. I have not been getting notifications when someone posts on threads I am subscribed to with Instant Notification selected on my profile. This has been this way since they changed servers.

Langdon's 92 Elite LTT with trigger job from EL himself... amazing DA pull and SA break. The PX4 carry series they do have a very nice trigger also.

The trigger on my Kahr CM9 is smooth but it takes a back-row seat to my vintage, pinned barrel, S&W 66

Smoothest double action out of the box suprized me, it was a Taurus model 85 stainless and I found it to be perfect in every way.
The only other gun I have that compares is a custom S&W model 66-1.

Smoothest I have ever felt. Shooting federal primers and a light hammer spring not just smooth but about 4.5# d.a. weight, it is a lot like cheating :) .

I'm with the ones who have already mentioned their S&W revolvers. I have some Wizardized CZs full of CGW parts that make for really nice and smooth DA triggers. But for the win, it's my S&W Model 19-5 that I lucked into from a fellow INGO member. This trigger is just beautiful in DA or SA. It may be one of the few guns I've ever shot just as well (or better) in DA vs. SA.

A somewhat close second (but still second) is a recent model 66-8 2.75". I worked this one over a bit with a Wilson Combat spring kit upgrade, and it continues to get better with use.

Indeed. An older S&W or even a newer, mildly tuned example can feel like DA trigger pull heaven. While I haven't been fortunate enough to experience Boss Hoss' work firsthand, he's a member on here who is to revolvers what The Wizard is to CZs.

I'm a big DW fan, and someday I'd like to get my hands on one of their 357 revolvers to see how it compares to a S&W.
