So I noticed this with the 43x I rented at point blank as well as the one I recently purchased.

10th round spent and the slide closes. Anyone else? I’ve had it lock open a couple times but generally it doesn’t.

I don’t think I’m touching the slide stop.

I’d be willing to bet you’re hitting the slide stop without realizing it. I’ve shot one and didn’t have any problems, but that was just one.

Try shooting it (the same amount of rounds) left handed and see. So it several times to see if it is a consistent thing or bot as well then you will know. Shooting. Left handed your thumbs won't be hitting anything. My agencies use Beretta's and some Sig's still and we have several folks (the once a year shooters) that have that issue.

I cannot trust any of my Glocks to lock the slide back reliably. I can only guess that it's my thumb on the slide stop. I've just learned to not depend on any of them to lock the slide back when empty.

I have a 43X and haven't had any issues with not locking on empty, a lot of times it is a something induced by the person if it is a fairly well maintained gun. Over the years I have learn to position my hands away from most slide stops.

I'm no expert but it would be simple science to take the ammo variable out of the equation. If you are shooting the same ammo on all occurrences it could be a light load?

Sell it then buy a S&W Shield or a Walther PPS or a SIG 265!

It seems IME some of the smaller Glocks at random do not lock to the rear? Dude at the range last week asked me the same question about his 43X I shot it with some Federal it didn’t lock the with WWB no lock as well. He was upset about his new pistol not locking I would be as well.

Seriously not being a Glock guy what’s the point of the 43X, A low capacity 19 ?

I have the same issue with my 43. The armourer replaced the slide catch at the last GSSF match but said he couldn't do anything about my thumbs.

My 43 does that also...when my thumb is on the slide stop. It’s hard to keep the thumb away from it on the small glocks.

I ran into this a few weeks ago. Haven't really had the oportunity to try to work it into practice, but it looks promising?
