I just got back from the NRA convention
I just finished trying one of the shooting courses set up on the floor.
    Great fun.
I stopped and watched a Mother and her son shoot the course.
She held the pistol in her right hand. She placed the pistol on the palm of her open left hand.
    She never hit a thing.
I approached her and offered to show her the proper way to hold and shoot the handgun.
She politely watched and I demonstrated the two hand grip.
    Two minutes at the most.
When I finished. She looked at me and said, "I am from new York."
    She walked away.

So is teacup style a New York thing then, or was she referring to the fact that they aren't used to hitting anything in NY, or that it would not matter, because their gun laws are so restrictive that she would not be able to get a real gun anyway... hmmm, so many options.

On Friday there was a couple from New York working the checkout at the NRA Store. The cred for the vols has name and state. On both of theirs they'd taken a pen and wrote "upstate" in front of New York.
