I recently took a Sig P226 Blackwater 9mm on trade and can’t really find a lot on it. I’ve found some of the history between Blackwater and Sig, but not a lot as far as the handgun goes.

Does anyone have more info on this model and does the fact that it’s a Blackwater edition increase the value? I’ve heard both ways... Either way, I think it’s a cool P226 and will be keeping it. I just put a short reset trigger and Trijicon HDs on it.

Just off the top of my head I'll go on a limb and say the Blackwater edition means very little value to it. At one time It ment more but since Blackwater quit being Blackwater and has changed the name like 3 times the luster wore off UNLESS the right buyer comes along. While Sig's hold decent value from what I have noticed (and being a Sig P series guy) the main models that ad some value is MK 25, eleite and probably a couple I'm forgetting.

Tacops before tacops was a thing. Blackwater helped design it. When black water went down, they changed the name to tacops. I think it's cool. B.i.l. has one and I live when he brings it to the range. Value... ehh

The last time this came up on SigTalk, the consensus seemed to be that Blackwater might add $0-100 for a similar condition P226.
