H&R Made, usually .22 Short. Neat guns, won't fetch huge prices because of their mass produced nature but they are nice family heirlooms.
Whenever I read the book Laddie (about the Limberlost region of Indiana, Ohio, back when it was all swamp), I always thought of him packing one of those in his pocket when he worked.
It was my grandfather's desk, he loved guns and reloaded, shot, and collected them.(guess I inherited the "gun gene" from him).
I wish they still made these- they'd be a fun pistol to bounce a can with or take pot shots at an apple or pear with...
Cool, a piece of family history. I'm sitting at a really huge oaken structure that my grandfather made for my uncle who then gave it to me when he moved to a house without a room to dedicate to the desk. He didn't leave me any guns though.
