So I think I want a 10mm for the heck of it. I have 9 and 45 and would like to find something that I can carry on some days in 10mm. I would like to be able to put an optic on the top such as a Trijicon RMR. I would also like to add a CrimsonTrace grip, which I know is not necessary with the optic but would really like at lease one of the two to be options. As best I can tell the Glock, XDM, & Sig are my only real choices non 1911. I am leaning toward the Sig but have yet to hold one. The Legion seems like the way to go but I would need to get the slide milled and spoke with Sig today they do not do that because their Sig red dot optic is not up to the task of the 10mm cartridge. I already have a XDM 9mm so that would be 2nd choice and Glock which I have owned many would be my 3rd. Has anyone shot any of these in 10mm and could anyone offer up other choices?

I have a Glock 20sf it's a handful. It's not ergonomic imo. I did get ahold of the new Springfield 10mm. It's got a great grip compared to the Glock.

Other than being awkward, the Glock 20sf is very reliable and after you learn it very accurate even with the stock barrel. I shoot full bore 10mm. (Why I bought it. If I want 40 S&W power I'd bought one.) I did replace the guide rod and spring with a 22lb Glock store stainless steel guide rod and spring.

You will want to upgrade the trigger as well as the sights. So be prepared for that unless the Gen 4 Glock 20 is better.

Yeah the glocks have never felt right in my hand. The XDM feels great with that 1911 angle. If I don’t like the sig I will get the XDM. That sig is also 3x’scthe XDM too

What about an old school Smith Wesson 3rd gen? Ex FBI gun?

I shot Armchair Operator's G20 last year. I didn't want to, but he made me do it. :n00b:

The G20 shot great, feeling strangely close to the same as shooting my G19. :dunno: I hit every little piece of steel I aimed at.

At 50 yards the G20 front sight takes up the whole target. 12x18" I'm sure the rest are like that also. I ended up putting my G20sf into an MCK. I put a red dont on it and a 3x magnifier. I use it for deer hunting and my home Defense bed side weapon. It also has a light on it.

I had the Glock. It was okay, but eventually got rid of it because I am just not a Glock fan.
i bought the Sig P220 reverse two tone when they first came out. It is a joy to shoot. Runs like butter. It is a big guy though.

Yeah when I called Sig about the milled slide we were talking about the gun and he said it’s a big one to carry. Wouldn’t really be my edc but.. how much difference can there be between that and my old Trp 1911. ? I have a friend at work bringing in his p220 in 45. Has to be similar in 10mm.

I took the TRP Tactical recently acquired and put a 10mm barrel in it. (AllenM did the heavy lifting) and Mother of all things holy that gun is a beast. What fun. Yeah yeah I know it's a 1911.....:):
There are many offerings out there in 10mm. I believe Tanfo has something if i am not mistaken.

I’ve had three 10mm Glocks and none of them grabbed me enough to stay in the family. The G29 was fun but I like the feel of shooting the G30 better. The G20sf was good also as was the Gen 4 G20. Neither really grabbed me though and when I realized that I just didn’t like shooting them, I let them go. I am a Glock fan and have no issues with recoil but just did not enjoy range trips with the 10mm Glocks as much as I do with a Delta Elite or my .45 Glocks.

An EAA Witness in 10mm might be another option to consider. I regret letting mine go now as I really did like that one. I’m still trying to figure out why I sold it, especially given what I took for it. The one thing that I don’t like in pistols is the use of roll pins. And, the Witness used a lot of roll pins. Had it used mostly solid pins like a CZ, maybe I would have kept it. But, roll pins just feel like cheap engineering to me.

Okay well I just left my LGS and they had a Sig legion in 45 which he said was the same size. Felt pretty amazing. Also had a hellcat which was not available but also pretty sick

I'd second, third, fourth... whatever at least checking out a Tanfo/EAA. Pretty easy to put a red dot on one with one of the mounts available. I have a 20sf and a Witness Match Pro and like them both. The 20sf is a bit softer shooting but the Witness has a much better trigger and sights. Both could be upgraded to suit your tastes for less than you would have in the Sig and both have higher capacity.
