Just as I have posted my Glock 42 "Dubai Recon", I had to do the same with my Glock 43! In traditional super extra gay Glock fanboy fashion, this one is called the Cambodian Recon". I've owned this little thing for a while and carry it often! Since the options are out there to give her a little twist. I say "why not":)! To start, the slide was sent out to Jagerwerks for their B&B slide cuts, top serrations, and a few other goodies. Major propers to them for hitting their deadline/commitment date as well as the Cerakote option I asked for. The frame, was done by Matt Blalock who runs the show over at 5B gunwerks (sadly he is stepping away for a while due to carpal tunnel)... but he is one of the very best stipple guys in the business. The frame got all the goodies including his famous "basketweave and boarders". The rest of the "gayness" is listed below (I say that totally joking as I have a long standing 1911 vs Glock fanboy joke going between a few friends, so please don't get all offended by me having a little fun)...

IMO, came this came out really fantastic!

I call this one the "Cambodia Recon"

    Slide Milling: Jagerwerks
    Sights: Trijicon HD
    Frame: 5B
    Trigger: Agency
    Mag Release: Hyve
    Slide takedown pin: Hyve
    Slide Stop: Tango Down Vickers
    Base pads: Taran Tactical

This is a nice little summer carry that holds 9 in the tube and 1 in the pipe... cant beat that for a pistol this size!

"Fruit Loops", they look good, you put a lot of work into them, do they both function, and shoot well?

it’s a Glock... so function and shootability is always going to be good. Are Glock upgrades “worth it”? Mostly aesthetics, but yes... def is more comfortable!

Glad you got your 5B frame done. They're closing down soon - just as soon as they clear their books.

Based on FB Glock groups out cry or support for Matt, Inthink he is reconsidering “closing” down. I’m fairly sure that he is going to catch up on his books, take a break/get his hands fixed and reevaluate. I don’t see a guy who was part of setting the industry standard just shutting down for good.

He may not take a log as long as he once did, but I bet he still selectively takes on work as he wants!

    Hopefully, that’s the case!

Looks good... not something I would necessarily do, at least not that extensive, but how does the basket weave grip feel in the hand? I have a few Glock grips done in a tree-bark stipple, which is a nice texture upgrade without being overly aggressive, but I like the looks of the basket weave too.

I like the whole package done here. Have you had to change out springs or anything to counter the slide weight reduction? That’s always my concern with milling slides. The mass is part of the recoil control and removing mass sometimes requires adding resistance elsewhere.

But, it really does look like a nicely thought out package.

I am NOT a Glock guy. And I'll deny it profusely if you tell anyone I said it, but...

    I kinda like it.:D
