This is the only handgun that I have ever shot that the slide locks open when it is not supposed to. My thumb catches the slide release lever. Don't see how that is even possible but it is definitely shooter error. Just when I think I have disciplined myself to keep my thumb out if the way I probably shoot other guns and when I go back to the Betetta I have to stary over.

Anybody have this difficulty? Not aware of a lower profile slide release lever but not sure it is worth researching. Frustrating ss I will never part with this gun.

I have the opposite issue. With my 92fs and Wilson 92G, I ride the slide release with my right thumb keeping it down on the last shot and keeping it from locking open. I love my Berettas and won’t part with them either.
