I believe I've found a pistol which I like just about as much as the Model 1911. 1,100 rounds, so far, without a single hiccup. I've been firing mostly Winchester Service Grade 115 grain (which is same-same the M1152, from what I can tell) and some Winchester 9mm NATO. That is one sweet pistol!

Maybe pick up a spare before that happens... Not sure of the implication here?

Not implying anything. I’m stating something. That in my situation, steel is better. Hell I own glocks and the m17 too. I have all sorts of poly, but the one I can get back up and running after a broken part in the field or at home alone, that generally falls to steel.

I don't have an M17, but I do have a couple P320's. Best pistol I've ever shot. I do want to get an M17 at some point, though. Just a really nice looking gun, and I do sort of collect US military sidearms.

    Yep. That's just you.

I admit, I trash talked the P320 when they first came out. I was horrified to learn that my department was getting rid of our M&P's for P320's. That is, until I shot one. Instantly fell in love. Well over 1500 rounds with not a single malfunction. Best feeling, nicest shooting gun I've ever handled.

Yep, there are Browning and Sig Sauer owners, and their are Ruger and Marlin owners out there. Some have served this country for over 100 years, others haven't served at all.

The word is "sauerkraut". And the M17/M18 are made by SIG Sauer of America in Exeter, New Hampshire. Your other list of snarky remarks make as much sense as does your knowledge of the German language and of geography.
