3 generations of American quality, engineering, and reliability. Only 1 model away from the entire set.

The first generation actually looks kind of reasonable for a simple and cheap firearm.

Current hipoints look like someone purposefully tried to make a gun as repulsive as possible.

I can't say a thing negative, because somewhere around here is a German Rohm 38 special loaded with silver tips.

    Eternal optimist.

I am seriously a little envious.
This makes me want a Hi-Point; if I didn't already have a decent 9mm... I mean, I keep hearing they're actually reliable guns, and that's what matters, right?

    Damn those are fugly.
Why on earth would you want to collect turds?
No purple, but a serious question.

I collect them because people think they're offending me when they call them turds. I also have an impressive collection of Ravens and Tec-9's. I know they are garbage but when I look at them, they make me smile. I'd never use one for self defense.

This is my take on them also. I blame it on my proclivity to root for the underdog. I don't own one but every time someone tries to make an endurance video about them, spoof, funny, or serious, the result is always the same. After it's all said and done the pistol still functions!

I was not trying to offend you, sounds like I didn't.
If they make you happy that's all that counts.
