Have owned USP Tactical, HK45 both with V1 options. The HK45 was probably my favorite once I sold my KAC suppressor. It was a great shooter and like most guns was more accurate than me. Ergonomics made it a easy fun shooter. If I was to get another HK, I'd go with HK45.

If you can find one nothing in HK's line up beats the H&K USP 45 Elite 6" barrel. Rented and shot one once and made the WORST firearm mistake of my life and did't buy one they had for under $900. IT has to be shot to be believed and appreciated.

There are some floating around. I remember thinking that I had to have a mark 23 until I held one. Those things are huge! The only reason I regret not getting one is because of the high price that they bring now.

I now want a USP .45 since they can't be found anywhere. The HK45 has the trigger channel in the trigger guard like the P30 and for some reason that irritates my finger.

    I've had a USP 45 I bought back in the 90's and it's a fine pistol.
I did the Match Trigger conversion and added the threaded barrel.

It would be a great range pistol, but because it's a little big to carry concealed I don't shoot it very often

Might depend on your hand size to some extent? If you have very large hands ignore my post.

I have a USP 45 Tactical v1 that I: A) use as a silencer host, B) love the trigger, C) has never failed to go bang, and D) feels big even in my large hands.
I have fired a Mark 23 and that thing feels huge. I specifically did not buy it because I felt like I was trying to wrap my hands around a 2x4.

Definitely try (for fit) before you buy in this case.

My response to the Mark23 was a direct result of “the one that got away”
great price, new condition, camo case from HK. I still kick myself, and this was not too long ago, but had just gotten my lotto number from CMP for 1911 and knew I could not afford both.
Hint...they were about the same price.

At one point in my life I just had to have one. Now I've grown out of that and would settle for a Dan Wesson 45acp or a CZ 97 BD.
