I just bought a NIB Glock 43X from Shoot Point Blank in Greenwood. Got it home and was looking at it. And noticed a chunk of metal out of the slide where the barrel interfaces with it. Anyone else have this mark on their 43X? I ran my fingernail over it and it’s definitely a divot not just a mark.

I also saw your post on GT, they (Glocktalkers) say its normal, I have mine (at home and I am at work) but I will check mine when I get home and let you know this afternoon.

It shouldn’t be normal. Just because everyone seems to have it doesn’t mean it’s not a manufacturing flaw that Glock calls acceptable.

Edit: I’ll have to check mine when I get home. I never noticed.

i agree with you. I’ve never seen this before. It looks sloppy to say the least.

Received a reply to the email I sent Glock with pictures of the slide. They replied that this was a tool mark that is on all 43 slides to some degree.

Just checked my 43x. I can't really see any pronounced tool mark (gouge) like the one in the OP.

I’m sure it doesn’t affect function and it’s not noticeable unless you take a flashlight and shine it on that part of the interior of the slide, but it’s annoying my OCD LOL. I may have to sell this copy. Stupid I know lol.
