If you were to build a 10mm on the 1911 platform what frame, barrel, and internals would you use? Bar-to 6" Wilson/Nowlin ramp barrel, Les Bear "Match" frame and slide, EGW Ignition Kit, and Wilson rest of the parts, S&A Magwell. bone grips

a lot of a custom is about personal taste and what “fits” you. If you go crazy on it or have a budget to work with. For Barrels, I like Infinity Ultra Match. I have them in 45, 9mm and 10mm and all are shooters. Frames... I have customs built on Colts as well as Caspian. I think you will find a lot of what makes a 1911 a custom is the smith that puts it together. I have seen rattle trap guns that shoot lights out, because the smith used quality pets and earned his money. AllenM has built my customs and all have EGW ignition parts. 10mm is a great round and lots of eyes have been opened to it’s real potential.
