Ive posted some sweet revolvers of late. Figured since I was sharing away, why not what many consider to the GOAT... at least the GOAT of American made revolvers.

I acquired this one many years ago... I swapped out the original front sight (I still have the all black one), and had a friend recut and fix the grips (they were faded out and I thought the revolver deserved a better set).

I have not shot this gun much... like 15-20 total rounds. Smooth as glass in SA and the typical "C-O-L-T" DA action. The timing on the gun is still as good as the day she left Colt, which is nice as it seems like these guns all suffered timing issues over the years.

Not much else to say other than I was in a sharing mood so I snapped some pics for your enjoyment! Some of the best blueing I have seen... Ever!

Wow! I am from 1962 as well and I have to say the Python has certainly aged better than me! As a kid in the 1970s I thought the Python was one of the most beautiful handguns ever made. Yours is exceptional to say the least!

Wow, that is a beautiful Python! I kick myself for not buying on in the late 70's when they were so reasonably priced...oh well. Hang on to yours, you'd never be able to replace it!

Very nice indeed. I also am from 1962, and I can tell you I definitely have not aged as well your Colt. FWIW my Colt is a Colt SAA w/ 7.5 barrel. in 45LC
