The 2016 NWI INGO schedule of events is now up and can be found here.

We are 6 months away from the 4th annual NWI INGO & WINAMAC DNR Family Day.
This thread will server as a starting point to get the word our to the rest of INGO, ammo donations and more importantly a call for volunteers. The 2016 event DNR is thinking of hosting on a Sunday vs a Saturday. The decision has not been made as it will depend on when our volunteers are available.

For those new to this event you can read more about our past experience below:
    2013 event
    2014 event and 2014 Pics
    2015 event and 2015 Pics

    ---
So here is what we need to talk about right now.

    1) Can you volunteer?
    - We need firearms instructors to teach the kids (we can supply you with .22lr longgun if needed)
    - We need safety range officers to oversee each of the yards (4 to 5 ranges)
    - We need photographers
    - We need ammo runners (to take ammo to the various benches)
    - We need cooks
    - We need greeters

    2) If you can volunteer what day works best for you?
[strike]SAT, 18 JUN 2016 from 6AM EST to NOON EST
SUN, 26 JUN 2016 from 6AM EST to NOON EST
SUN, 26 JUN 2016 from 10AM CST to 6PM EST
    [/strike]
    UPDATE the day is
SAT, 18 JUN 2016 from 6AM EST to NOON EST
    ---
You can't volunteer (in person) but want to help?

The past 3 years INGO member have been kind and generous in donating ammo (.22lr mainly) for this event.
Once again we need donations to make this even possible.
    - .22lr ammo mainly
    - .223 and 7.62x39 for the single 'big rifles bench'
(does not matter if you are not in NWI we have members that go all over the state and can bring back your ammo donation)
    - money donations for t-shirts/caps for the vounteers (1775usmarine is handling this for us this year again)
    - food/money donations for food (we feed everyone hot dogs, chips, pop, water and cookies)
    - plywood/money donations for the range itself

    I'll bet I can find a brick of .22lr.
Could you use any sub-sonic .22? What about shorts?
I can also spring for a couple of handfuls of 7.62x39 steel-cased Russian offerings.
I would love to be able to provide instruction, and I might, depending on the date(s).

I can instruct or whatever. I instructed skeet last year. Mrs. Ballstater took the 2015 pictures (am sure she would volunteer again if needed).
Dates I/we can attend (in no particular order) 4th, 11th, 25th.

Definitely a NO on the 18th (Anniversary=:nono:) It is also Father's Day on that Sunday which I'm throwing out there to avoid conflicts.

I volunteer. I'm usually a .22 instructor 25 yard line. I can do that again. Or wherever I'm needed.
I'll have to check with my Dad. He's retired, so as long as my parents aren't in Massachusetts, he'll probably volunteer. He's usually on shotgun range.

Any date is okay with me. I'll use a V-day.

    I donate 500 rounds of .22.

Question. If we use suppressors, do we need subsonic .22?

50yd again and I can do sat and sun morning. Will see if wife wants to do the shotgun again depending on her shows.

Yes I am taking shirt donations. They will be the same as last year with date change of course and depending on who you are will say volunteer or coach on back. If any business would like to make a donation to shirts or ammo your business name will go on the back of the shirt. We have 120 currently saved up and will go with printcraft again this year.

Also will need to know if we are making shirts so those families who come can make a donation and receive one. I would add with a portion of proceeds going to DNR Winamac.
