How do you even have guns on uni?
You check in the safety office and turn over your documentation. The gun stays with front desk until you take it out. Uni used to be much kinder to gun owners back in the day... did not help they gave the rifle team the shaft.

According to the guy at the Indiana ATF, any license legitimately obtained from the DNR which allows you to hunt either in public or private land gives you a pass. I got myself a Private Reserve license which allows me to spend $17/year instead of ~$80/year. I made sure to get though a form 4473 to make sure nothing bad happens if I verge into private transfers.
