Welcome to Indy. There is a great range approx 30 miles north of Indy called Atlanta Conservation Club. I is a great place, very active and safety is of the utmost importance.
You do have to be a member to access the range for personal use, however, they have shoots almost every weekend that is open to the publlc.

Guessing you were so impressed by Mayor Hogsetts response to Covid 19 and subsequent over reaching that you're just being magnetically drawn to the socialist utopian city at the center?
Kidding of course...there are FAR worse places! Welcome to the circle city!
Before you get set up at a club, there's the Camp Atterbury range about 35 minutes south of the city (from where I am) and you don't have to be a member ($7/hr if i remember correct), OR you can head east over to the DNR range in Muncie that's free of charge (only takes about an hour to get there from the center of the city).
Personally, I had to go a little farther out because I like shooting 200-300yds...found a nice private range in Richmond that holds High Power matches every couple of weeks.
