Hello all. This is a bit overdue, but for what it's worth here goes. I've been a Rangemaster at Gunsite since 1999, and have filled in as needed as an AI for the late Pat Rogers and Louis Awerbuck, and more recently for Paul Howe at CSAT teaching the ground fighting portion of his CQB class. I did some time in the Marine Corps and LE and served a long sentence in private industry in between the two. When I'm not on the range or the mats I'm usually wandering around with a camera in my hand. I'm really looking forward to the interaction here.

What's up with all the roundabouts every block or two in Carmel? :dunno:

I drove through there a few weeks ago to get something and swear, I went through 15 or more getting in and out of the town.

Just had to ask because that's the sort of guy I am...

Well, people tend to love them or hate them. I can say that they've made a huge improvement in traffic flow through the city, reduced accidents at intersections, and the accidents that do occur are generally less severe because they aren't happening at 90 degrees. I'm a fan.

Welcome! Are you the photographer that got inspired by an Ansel Adams exhibit a few years back?

Oh, and I just took a class taught by Bob Whaley. Perhaps you know him?

The car in your avatar was made for roundabouts.

Yup, that’s me. Bob is a great guy. We work together often.

You do nice work and obviously you are modest since you casually mentioned "wandering around with camera." :)

Yes, I like Bob. I took a Pistol 101 2-day class last weekend. I'd put his content at more of a 150 or 200 level class. Lot's of solid teaching!
