    SOLD!

    --------------------------------------------
    FOR SALE:
Condor Tool & Knife Crotalus fixed blade knife

    DESCRIPTION:

For sale (unfortunately) is my Condor Crotalus. It’s a beast, made for heavy use, and is suitable for all kinds of outdoors or yard work. It would make an ideal dedicated survival knife for your emergency gear. It’s 0.19 inches thick at the spine and made of 1075 high carbon steel to make it super tough, but the Condor “Scandivex” edge grind makes it a good cutting tool. It compares well to the ESEE 5 or the Becker BK2, but the Micarta handle is better than either of those worthy competitors. Unlike those two knives, it has a sharp, 90-degree spine that throws sparks from a ferrocerium rod with ease and works well for scraping other materials such as wood and bark for prepping tinder.

One of the best features is the sheath. The shell is Kydex and formed well to the knife to provide good retention, but still allow you to draw the knife without undo effort. The Kydex is mounted on a very sturdy nylon hanger that you can wear on your belt and is MOLLE compatible as well. The nylon hanger features an additional retention strap and you can easily remove the Kydex portion if you want to mount it on something else.

This knife is in excellent condition (very little use) and will make a fine heavy-duty outdoors tool for you!

    Weekend bump! Make an offer!

Another feature I forgot to mention is that the pins in the handle are hollow. The rear is what I'm currently using for a lanyard in the photo (the kind that goes across the back of your hand and around your thumb, not around your wrist), but you could also use the forward hole. Mounting a lanyard in a forward lanyard hole is popular for doing chopping.
