No surprises here... yet the blind bleating sheep will slog through the stockades onto their slaughter at the hands of statist pigs like fearless leader and his henchmen.

Romney is nothing more than Obamatard-Lite. He is no true friend of sportsmen, of gun owners, or of our constitution. And to suggest that we have to vote for him as the lesser of two evils is absurd. What this country needs is a shift back to our roots, to true freedom and liberty; not this watered down version that the powers that be want you to choose.
Wake up, my countrymen, and smell the B.S. that is being force fed to you by your masters! Have you not noticed that the media rarely speak of Ron Paul, and that an abundance of their attention is focused on Mitt and Newt - by far the two WORST candidates? We need to back a candidate that has ALWAYS had our backs - Ron Paul. In his career, has he flip-flopped like Mitt and Newt, or has he always stuck to his guns and stayed a Constitutionalist?
When our founders framed and signed the Constitution, they knew it was not a perfect system; as it did have some flexibility. It gave room to compromise, which is necessary to the welfare of a free society. IMHO, neither Mitt nor Newt have our better interests in mind; for them I feel it is a power grab, and nothing more.

Sorry for the rant - Ron Paul 2012! :patriot:

Wait, I'm confused, did the first lady actually say anything directly (or indirectly) about gun control?

It's seems to me that Chris Cox is using part of her speech and then spinning a web on top of it. Personally, I'm getting tired of the NRA's chicken little routine.

    Chicken little routine? Really?

How closely did you follow fearless leader's Supreme Court appointments and the Heller / McDonald cases?

    Be ever vigilant my friend.

Yes, really. In fact, thanks to many states, we have MORE freedom on the whole.

Before he became president all the NRA did during the election was scream that Obama would take away all our rights. Did he? No. I would attribute this to a few factors:
    1. Poor economy requires his attention there.
    2. No congressional support. In reality, congress has been on our side (national CCW reciprocity).
    3. Lack of strong desire. He's never been a huge supporter of gun restriction, unlike other senators (we all know who they are).

I don't see any of these changing in the next four years. :twocents:

Yes, he can still appoint justices and that his prerogative. To the victor goes the spoils.

I would encourage you to examine fearless leader's position on firearms more closely; particularly during his days in the State legislature.

Regarding State reciprocity, I fail to understand why so many, particularly in Indiana, seem to support it so much.

Indiana does not have near the level of infringement other states place on an individual’s rights to keep and bear arms. We do not have State mandated safety courses. We do not have State mandated firearms training. We do not have State mandated qualifications testing. We have a lifetime carry permit. Granted, we are still far from Constitutional carry (which is where we should be), but Indiana does not infringe nearly as much as many other States.

Do those that advocate for nationwide reciprocity believe that the infringement on the rights of Indiana citizens (or VT, AZ, or AK citizens) would not be greater to meet the demands of other States such as Ohio, Illinois, or California?

The better answer would be to respect the Second Amendment as written.

That fearless leader has a record of appointing judges that do not view the Second Amendment as an individual right and do not view it as a limitation on the government is cause for concern and worthy of considering in the upcoming election.

Finally, note that much of the reduction we have seen in the infringement of an individual’s right to keep and bear arms over the last 10+ years can be attributed to the work of the NRA in a variety of States.

    Be ever vigilant.

Socialism. It seems to be a reoccurring theme going on here. I don’t believe in coincidences.

Exactly, and socialists are not supporters of individual rights. By definition, they advocate for collective rights.

Stricter guns laws only punish the innocent gun owners who are not criminals. The only thing you are doing by taking away 2nd Amendment rights is turning good citizens into criminals by definition of law.
