I hope the people on here that elude to ain't gonna happen are paying attention. The anti's in every state are going completely nuts. Its a momentum thing. Those that think a gun ban can't happen in the US pay attention.

Aren't the gun banners in Illinois under a court order to allow concealed carry withing a certain time period? Did I just dream this? I am certain I read where a federal court ruled against the state and City of Chicago. Someone please correct me if i'm wrong (like I have to ask on :ingo:)

Does this jack-wad really think all the criminals, gang-bangers and others who do not believe in the rule of law will turn their firearms in?

It never fails to amaze me how stupid politicians can be. There must be a rule in states like Illinois that to run for office, you must have no brains, and must have a scan showing you don't.

Hello Cullerton, didn't you take an oath of office, you know, the one that makes you say you will uphold the Constitution of The United States of America? That pesky document with the line about "shall not be infringed"?

In light of McDonald v. Chicago, and Moore v. Madigan, this idiocy has a snowball's chance in hell of actually being implemented.

Something Wicked this way cometh and it is at our Western Front. The Wicked is known as Socialism and it Comething from California.

If Chicago is removed from the State, Illinois is a Liberty Loving Freedom Loving State.

Uh, this would be a revenue GENERATOR! People turn in guns to state Police who then sell them for profit. People don't turn in guns, arrest them and fine them huge sums or else go to jail. Win win!

Dubious. Seize guns only to sell them? To whom?

Fines? Also dubious. Fines in lieu of jail would obviously amount to people buying their way out of jail. Even the ACLU wouldn't stand for that for very long.:twocents:

Let's see what Judge Posner has to say about this.

If people didn't leave when they hiked the income tax 66% in one year (during a recession no less), this won't matter to them either.

I am so glad to have bailed out of that peoples republik. Sadly my kids are stuck there. Cullerton is from a long line of corrupt socialists in Chicago going back to the 1800's. They have wanted this for a long time and now see the opportunity. Les Baer moved his operation to Iowa when Blagojevich wanted to pull the same crap. I would love to see Rock River Arms and the rest of them up and leave.

I live just 1mi. From the state line and continuously patrol the border taking in way word gun owners. They just wander across with arm loads of guns, ammo and mags and usually cannot see because there is so much more light over here.
