Also in his blog, excellent reading, although the gun-grabbers and sheeple won't let such thoughts cross their narrow little minds.

The most telling part of the article is how the good cops, including the author, went along with it anyway because "our livelihood depended on following orders". NO ONE stood up for the people and put a stop to it.
That makes me think, despite the police officers who claim they will never confiscate guns from citizens, that 99.99% will "follow orders" anyway.
Once the system is corrupt, it corrupts everyone.
That which is moral is not always legal. That which is legal is not always moral. They are not synonyms.Once it's made legal they will be able to avoid any moral conundrums as they didn't make the decision and they are just following the law etc. The young ones coming up will do what they are told and the older ones will have too much invested to not do what they are told.
But a senior American officer listened to me with a disinterested expression and said, “Look man, it’s legal here. So I don’t have a problem with it.”
