Eric Holder speaks at the NAACP. Asks public to help DOJ convict Zimmerman

Our criminally contempt AG is speaking at the NAACP on our current gun laws regarding the Zimmerman case.

    Some highlights:

Stand Your Ground laws are “allowing – and perhaps encouraging – violent situations to escalate in public.”

False. Also, "Stand your ground" wasn't even a part of the Zimmerman trial. Not one bit.

They are essentially reclassifying "self defense" as "gun violence". This is seriously concerning.

So if a woman shoots a rapist attempting to rape her, is that considered "gun violence"? Eric Holder logic says yes.

"'Stand your Ground' laws should be re-examined"
"We must stand OUR ground, to ensure our laws reduce violence"
"It's time to question laws that senselessly expand the concept of self-defense"

Holder - It's time to review laws that had absolutely no bearing in the Zimmerman trial, essentially.

He's making a strong stance for "duty to retreat", which had nothing to do with the case of a guy getting his head pounded into the ground.

Get ready, Gun Control Push 2.0 is coming.

What you forgot to mention was that he also stated that.... We should retreat even if from our own houses... So a burglar breaks into my house and endangers my family and it is MY duty to retreat? What the heck kind of pretzel logic is that??

    Ho. Lee. ****.

Holder (the gov) is now embarking on a fishing expedition in search of dirt with which to prosecute an acquitted man. the DOJ Wants people to e-mail the Florida DOJ with any information they have on George Zimmerman to bring charges against him.

    THIS. IS. SICK.

Robert Zimmerman to DOJ: Stop the 'Witch Hunt'...

Looking forward to Darrell Issa and the GOP Oversight to hammer Holder on this crap. This is hugely unprecedented... the gov doesn't like a ruling, so they ask the public to dig up dirt FOR them to find a conviction

And it's a wonder the Zimmerman family is worried about their phones being tapped. This is no longer the "land of the free" until these tyrants are gone.

Stand Your Ground doesn't apply when you can't stand. George was on his back with his assailant (and soon to be decedent) on top of him raining blows down on his head, bashing his head on the concrete. Where was George gonna go? There was nowhere for him to flee to. Only the dimmest of bulbs can claim SYG had anything to do with the self-defense choices of George Zimmerman.

I find this totally amazing. Especially considering the enormous amount of resources the Feds are willing to expend going after a man acquitted of any crime, compared to the number of gun murders in the city of Chicago that don't get an any attention at all from the Feds. Why don't they stand their ground on the countless number of murders in Chicago? These murders of course by definition have nothing to do with self-defense. Why don't they stand their ground to see that laws already in place are enforced?

They didn't care about the 20 children in Newtown, they have done nothing to reduce the likelihood of that ever occuring again, they've only penalized the law-abiding. But they used those children to their own political advantage.

They don't care about reducing violence. If they did they wouldn't go on a witch hunt looking for empty excuses to crucify George Zimmerman to further their political agenda. They would go after the real problems like the war zones in Chicago and other big cities. What about the innocent children caught in the gang crossfire? Don't they deserve any effort by the DOJ? Or does the government just like to use any chance they get to make it "appear" that they are doing something, even if they have to trample the freedom of the law-abiding in the process. Nope, they never do anything that really makes a difference, except to attack the liberty and freedom of Americans. In fact they really don't even care about Trayvon Martin any more than they cared about the 20 children at Newton. They're simply using Trayvon Martin's death to stir up emotions and fuel division in an already divided land. It's just dirty hypocritical politics, as usual.

18 different 17 y/o black males shot dead in Chicago since 2/16/12. You don't know their names because they don't serve a political end.

The contemptible AG also said that the death of the deceased was "unnecessary." That is in direct conflict to what the jury decided -- it was self-defense, meaning Zimmerman feared for his life and was justified in what he did. Holder has a long history of promoting "gun control," meaning that only the government can have guns. Chicago thugism personified.

It was also unnecessary for G. Zimmerman to have someone on top of him, pinned to the ground, pummeling his melon MMA style as well Mr. AG.

We all knew that the Zimmerman trial was more than the racism issue that was portrayed in the media. It was a serious push by our government to attack our right to defend ourselves. They want to try to remove the "stand your ground" laws so that any attempt to defend ourselves can be viewed as a criminal act on the defenders part. As I see it, it is their position that only the criminals have rights. We the citizens, must yield to all criminals and their actions against us.

These are sad times my friends, when we must constantly fight our own government to maintain our rights. What good are our representatives if we have to constantly remind them to uphold their oath to the Constitution and their duty to honestly represent us, their constituents?

I might add, that since our government is unable to pass gun control legislation, they will try to limit our ability to use our guns by limiting our right to defend ourselves.

Holder and the boys feel Zimmerman had one way to go from where he was, ................6 feet deeper.

The truth is that if our right to defend ourselves becomes non-existent, people will be calling close friends with shovels before they call the police. if ever.
