Grew up in New York State, had a CCW for a long time there. Had to jump through many hoops.

It was never valid for NYC. They are a different planet from even liberal New York state.

The Sullivan Act has been on the books since the days of Tammany Hall, gives them sole discretion on permits for any reason. The law was penned by one of the worst and most corrupt politicians in NYC history and was designed to keep guns out of the hands of "undesirables" probably meaning Italians during that time period.

Places like 'new cuba' NY aren't fit for habitation by free people. It will be interesting to see what happens if national reciprocity gets enacted. I've heard about them arresting people for traveling through there with firearms--as in changing planes from la guardia>JFK--McClure-Volkmer act not withstanding.

Whenever I hear big media say there's no such thing as voter fraud I think, how naive can you be. Pick up a history book, voter fraud has been here for centuries.
