So responsible gun owners have a far better record of sniffing out bad guys than a highly trained TSA agent. More common sense gun laws that already exist are working.

Ah, I see this study was requested by Senators Warren, Cummings, and Schatz. Expect to hear about the two purchases on the "dark web" and nothing else at every future gun-related hearing.

Of those 72, they got suckered into sending scammers money twice. :):

"In the 11 remaining attempts, we encountered private sellers that appeared to have scammed us, or attempted to scam us, after we disclosed our prohibited status or asked to avoid using an FFL.
30 In two of these instances, we made a payment and never received the firearm or a refund. "

That was almost enjoyable to read.

Or the part about how fraud isn't in their charter, so they let those fish go.

If these internet loopholes and ghost guns we hear about were so prevalent they should have had absolutely no problem getting at least one.

None, they couldn't get past the 50 (quality) post rule.

    LOL, see?! It works!

    But this nugget here......

ATF officials said the agency frequently receives tips about nonlicensedsellers engaging in the business of firearms. For example, ATFinvestigated a nonlicensed seller who posted more than 280 firearms forsale on multiple online firearms marketplaces; purchased at least 54firearms; and sold at least 51 firearms at a profit.

There ARE people in the classifieds here doing this. Might be a word of caution.

Go to enough gun shows and you can see the individuals doing this. I always shudder when I walk by their tables.

This "study" isn't really relevant, however.

How many real-life felons would tell a seller that they're a felon? Bueller? Bueller?
