Yep. Tyranny is always trying to move in. And history suggests no society holds it off for long. It's cyclical in many cases.

I was telling one guy I work with, still has his Trump stickers on his car and is a BIG TIME gun guy (way more than me), that it would not surprise me to see more gun control getting passed under Republican leadership than Democrat. He did not like it or want to hear it, but he had no response to it.
