    They always said that the south will rise again, and South Carolina is where it started the first time. I find myself highly unsurprised that the pushback is being prepared for a federal overreach.

    Seems to be legislative grandstanding. We all know secession isn't going to happen. So, I guess because the proposal is so outlandish, it's a good way to bring attention to the issue.
