California has a law that effectively prohibits firearms dealers from displaying the image/likeness of a firearm on signs advertising their shops. Several firearms businesses and individuals sued the State (Kamala Harris as AG, in particular) in federal court for summary judgment against violation of their First Amendment protected right to speech. The State opposed asking for summary judgment in favor of their law. Plaintiffs won in district (trial) court.

Glad to see nonsense like this get smacked down. Only in a gun-hating state like California could the government argue that banning silhouettes of firearms decreases the risk of suicides and gun violence.

That was a well-written decision and easy to follow.

I read an article in the Blue Press by Alan Korwin, calling for felony penalties for these kinds of assaults on the BOR. He's got a point. Without PERSONAL repercussions, there's no real penalty for officials violating our rights like that. The PC speech-police-facists are relentless, if we're stuck with fighting them, paying for our own lawyers while they use tax funds for theirs, we'll lose the war of attrition
