Any submissions must be sent in with and already mounted on rifles. If it's an sbr by determining it cannot go back to a non sot. They are just not going to spend anymore time attaching every foregrip and brace sent to them on their own test guns.

The confusion comes because the closing statement on installation did not read, "If in doubt, use duct tape..."

Really? The atf isnt that dumb. ..
Using duct tape is common knowledge. Everyone knows thats the final step. Unless your tactical, then you use 550 cord

I think they just want to slow roll approval and think this will have the desired deterrent effect. They hate that the market is finding thousands of ways to show how pointless and foolish is the collective nonsense known as NFA and GCA rules.

Pointless and foolish indead. Outside of miraculous intervention or extreme actions by the masses, this will never change for the better(freer)

Some of the comments on that article are a bit concerning. If you are, say wanting to get approval for a new AFG and want the ATF to approve the design, if you send it in on a short barreled pistol and they determine it is, in fact, a vertical foregrip, can they then come after you for creating an illegal AOW? Or does this all need to come from 07/02s, who need to register their guns first, just to be safe?
