Spartacus is unhappy with his polling so he's rolling out all sorts of gun control ideas for his campaign.

All the candidates on that side trying to outdo each other to curry favor-leading to extreme pronouncements about gun control and the provision of free s**t for everyone. Of course, the smarter ones realize that they are never going to deliver. Just pandering to their base on what most of the reasonable US population sees as niche issues.

However, this isn't entirely a bad thing... as they try to prove their liberal > progressive > Socialist bona fides, they are publicly displaying how extreme they are willing to go, losing votes in the process. Like how many loyal party members stayed home and didn't vote for Mrs. Clinton in the last election after her party selection shenanigans and her basic unlikability.

    Got link?

Maybe something like his national registration scheme: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/06/us/politics/cory-booker-gun-control.html

The most notable piece of Mr. Booker’s plan is the proposed gun licensing program, which would enact minimum standards for gun ownership nationwide. Under such a program, a person seeking to buy a gun would need to apply for a license in much the same way one applies for a passport.

Mr. Booker’s campaign said the process would involve submitting fingerprints and sitting for an interview, and would require applicants to complete a certified gun safety course. Each applicant would also undergo a federal background check before being issued a gun license, which would be valid for up to five years.

Other parts of the plan include banning bump stocks, which enable semiautomatic weapons to fire faster; limiting bulk purchases of firearms; and closing the loopholes that allow domestic abusers and people on terrorist watch lists to obtain guns. And the plan calls for the I.R.S. to investigate the N.R.A.’s tax-exempt status, an issue the New York attorney general is also exploring, causing considerable turmoil among the group’s leadership.

I look forward to Send. Booker's proposed restrictions on other Constitutional Rights, such as voting. I made a few mark-ups below to get him started.

    Me too. Well deserved.

Sparticus is a complete boob. He was preaching patriotism this morning and how to bring us all together under that banner......Higher taxes. Seriosly. That freaking idiot was dead on serious about this and had some MSM talking head stooge taughting it as the real deal.

I am a patriot. I full well understand the meaning and responsibilitys that go with this. And I am damned tired of it being twisted up by some stooge politico to push his socialist agenda.

I constantly laugh at the ease these elected morons have no problem limiting one part of the constitution after fighting (and rightfully winning) the elimination of another, like voting issues. It seems to be ok for them to want to infringe on others rights as long as nobody infringes on theirs. Spartacus wannabe is such a wise person!

I find the voting comparison actually resonates pretty well with people on the fence about gun rights. When you replace "gun" with "vote" it makes it pretty clear how ridiculous the argument is.

It works the other way too considering there is a push from the left to allow people in jail to vote. Bernie Sanders wants to allow the Boston Marathon bomber to be able to vote? Would you want him to have access to guns? No? They why would you want him voting?

Why don't we start a national registry of domestic enemies so that it will be easier to round them up and put them in cages?

Are there any moderates remaining in either party? Seems they swing further to the right the further Trump swings to the left. His election campaign is absolutely at the 15 second mark counting down to 0.

At this point I'm for all Patriots identifying their local socialist / communist and marking their location for everyone else. Say a a big red S/C painted on the street in front of their house.

We, those left who can still comprehend the Constitution, also need to call the socialist out at every turn. It wouldn't hurt to reinforce what "NAZI" actually stood for either. National SOCIALIST Workers Party...

    "Enemy list" has bad optics

Yes, but we should keep in mind that even as the term "McCarthyism" gets tossed about today, subsequently declassified records indicate that McCarthy was mistaken only in that the problem was much worse than he realized.

I was being flippant about the list. Domestic enemies need to be tried., convicted, and have their necks stretched.
