I'm in! Meeting a friend in Columbus and driving over on Friday. This will be my first visit to DC.

I hope we have a good turnout.

Awesome! I am planning to be there with my oldest boys at least. My brother and a friend are likely to come too.

If you have not been there before, I recommend you stay in Arlington or Alexandria, VA. You can legally carry in VA. You do not want to carry in DC. A hotel near a metro station is nice (Embassy Suites in Alexandria and Crystal City both have a nice manager's reception), but if you opt for something cheaper and farther, it's a good idea to drive to a metro station, park there, and take the metro to the Capitol.

I'm not saying this to be crass or facetious, but if you're headed to DC for the rally, stop by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (https://www.ushmm.org). It'll remind you of what can happen to a disarmed populace. Preventing events like these is the whole reason we have a Second Amendment. I visited the museum when it was relatively new in the 1990s; the images have never left my head.

While you're there, learn about the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising (https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/article/warsaw-ghetto-uprising) to see what happens when oppressed peoples obtain firearms.

Did that a couple of times, and I agree that it is a worthy visit.

Did a little research, because you never know where rallies are coming from, this seems to have been brought up and planned on the AR15.COM board.

    Broke, so not going.

The smartest thing would be to co-plan state capital rallies for the same date/time, with full media blitz.
