Here's the text of the bill.
Introduced on the 11th and waiting for sponsors and a hearing, I assume. It'll be interesting to see how this progresses, tho I have little faith it will go anywhere in the House. By and large Indiana politicians have no incentive to revoke or change laws related to our rights. Occasionally something like this slips through and makes a ripple. Maybe it'll go somewhere...not gonna hold my breath, even tho I look good in blue.

Great bill. Sadly, it would take politicians with BALLS to push it through and I believe most are neutered when they take the oath of office.

A few other states have done this, more of which to stand toe to toe with the federal government and push the states rights issue.

    Yup..
And if it did become law we'd have to lure the gun makers here to make it viable.
Of course with the insane anti firearm laws in NY, IL, and other Socialist States, we may have a shot (pun intended) at doing that.

Do you suppose the influx of these proposed laws are twofold? As a reaction to the fed's increased power grab and to get something on the books to address the 3D printers?

    Where's the bacon?
Leadership in the House or Senate decide which bills get to the next step. Having BALLS often times has nothing to do with these things ;)

True. From my conversations with some legislators, a big issue is the political blowback when Something Bad happens. Example: Sandy Hook happened in a state with exceptionally strict laws; someone told me the killer broke 41 laws to do his deed. In the same vein, Columbine happened in the middle of the AWB, and yet, both of those and other cases as well have all resulted in political blowback as a result.

In re: SB 130 (the 2013 version of the bill the OP mentioned from 2010) a big concern is that in the 1940s or so, a case went to SCOTUS in re: the amount of wheat a farmer was allowed to grow, or something like that. SCOTUS ruled along the lines that because the farmer's surplus might prevent him from dealing in interstate commerce, he was affecting interstate commerce, and therefore, the law stood. The effect of this was to eviscerate the 10A, and it unfortunately has not recovered. It's all but a dead letter today, or so some think. As a result, those states that have passed "firearms freedom acts" find themselves in controversy with the federal government in federal court, and the deck is stacked. (A federal judge is not going to rule to decrease the power of his employer in most cases.)

When you have no chance of winning a fight, seek other methods.

    Blessings,
    Bill
