I guess we can start fresh and see if they have fixed their name. awful lot of review to go poof on us.:dunno:

The "good" - a large selection and some good guys. A very nice, very clean, pretty well organized showroom

The "bad" in my eyes""- Gun girls to annoy my girlfreind and give me poor advise on guns.
The used car salesmen like tactics that have been displayed to me.
I can walk to the taurus' they tell me its a excellent gun and ask if I want to take it home, I can walk 10 ft. to the SIG case and I get no change of expression "excellent gun want to take it home?" so for twice the price I get??? "yes I know, but I want to hear it"***this is not all of their staff nor just the girls nothing wrong with a girl haveing a job if she knows her stuff****
I'v had some better experiences there as of late and will update my thoughts ......

I saw that too and found it odd to delete an entire thread.

My experience with them has been great for these past two years or so. Back in 2003-2004 they got under my skin a few times, but that was then and this is now.

I get around to as many shops as I can and I keep going back to Midwest for a very good reason.

We tried to clean it up, really, but there was so much libelous material in there that it was impossible to separate the wheat from the chaff and still maintain any useful flow. We had six mods working on it, too. The thread had degenerated far beyond any hope of saving it.

;) I can understand, The thread needed updated anyway. Thank you for the reply.
I have been into midwest more recently and been happy with the service. I think that they have tried to address as many issues as possible. as said it looks like they have alot of ammo in stock, I saw cases of 9mm also, wasn't watching prices though. I'd encourage you to stop in if you havn't been to the new store recently and find the salesperson that fits you. I don't take the first employee who approaches me anymore and it has made MGE a much better store for me.

I got mine the other day. How they are selling some of the items for the prices they are is unreal!

Just got mine...WOW! I will go ahead and leave my feedback for MW since I'll be there to spend some money.

$109.99 for a RRA lower, I guess I could use another.

If Glocks are priced like their last sale, $430-440, I may pick one up just for the hell of it.

I had the same reaction on some of the prices when I got my flyer... WOW!

Since the other thread is gone, I will give my thoughts again. They have the largest selection of any place I have been in. Some prices can be a bit higher than I can find at other places, but when they have sale items they can be tough to beat. I am usually asked a couple times while I am in there if I need any help by friendly staff. Some of the help at times have not been real knowledgeable on guns. I have heard in the past some fear mongering but nothing more than has gone on right here at times. If you know what you want and do your own research none of my negatives would be a big deal.

There are many unadvertised sale prices available also. Plus a free gun given away daily. Not to mention free concert and NASCAR tickets will be given away next week. Bike night and hog roast Monday night. If you are in the market for a new gun, want to talk to a rep, or just see the action you should stop in.
