For sale is an “Enfield No 7" made from an Ishapore 2a 7.62x51 (.308) donor gun. Not sure the builder (might have been Gibbs Rifle Company or Navy Arms, but I don't see any stamps other than the guns original stamps, so it could have been done by an independent gun builder).
According to Gibbs, the No 7 Jungle Carbine is based on a proposed design by the Australian armed forces for an updated Lee Enfield No 5 updated to the NATO 7.62 spec. The need for the No 7 carbines ended up being made irrelevant with move to the L1A1, so it was never produced. This is a modification of an Ishapore 2A rifle to match the style and size of the No. 5 Jungle Carbine.
The gun is in great shape except for a small crack in the stock on the right hand side right in front of the bolt. Meet face to face within 30 minutes of North Indy. I'm asking $500 for the rifle.
Trade Options:
Beretta ARX-100
Winchester 97 12ga
FN 509 Tactical
Exposed hammer 12ga coach gun
Century Arms/IAC PW87 12ga
Marlin 1894CST
