Custom built longrifle in the style of John Armstrong of Maryland.

At the heart of this rifle is a large Siler flintlock. Well tuned, it will throw a shower of sparks into the pan. It takes 3/4" flints.

The barrel is a .45 caliber Green Mountain. It measures 13/16" across the flats by 42" long. 1 in 60" twist, optimal for patched roundballs but it will also shoot lighter weight conical bullets at hunting accuracy.

The stock is a piece of grade 3 curly Sugar Maple with a hand scraped finish and several coats of hand rubbed stain.

There are two German silver inlays. All of the stock carving is hand done with chisels and scrapers. All metal engraving was done with single point gravers and a chasing hammer.

This rifle will easily become a cherished family heirloom. It is one of a kind and attention to detail has been given to every aspect of this build.

Located in Fountain county. Willing to travel a reasonable distance for a FTF or can ship directly to your door for actual shipping costs.

Only trades I might be interested in would be an original M1 Carbine Paratrooper or a partial trade on a nice M1 Garand

    Asking price is $2500
