Marksman
SOLD
Selling a rare Remington 521-T 22lr rifle. The Remington Model 521T .22 rifle was introduced as a bolt-action repeater target rifle in 1947 and was produced until 1968. It featured a 25" inch barrel with factory installed Lyman Target sights, a 6-shot detachable box magazine, a target style stock with an adjustable top sling swivel, and easy 1 screw take-down construction (screw slot was made wide enough for a coin to be used). The Remington 521T quickly earned a reputation for being a very accurate and affordable target rifle with excellent build quality. The date code is "AUU" giving it a 1949 date of manufacture. The metal and bluing are in excellent condition with only a few marks and signs of use. The walnut stock is free from cracks or breaks but does show a number of scuffs, dings, and scratches. I would rate the bluing in 80-85% condition and the wood in 70% condition. The bore is clean and very accurate. The original Lyman peep sight is included but the rifle is currently wearing a Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32 scope. The original 6rd magazine is included as well as one extra 6rd mag and a 15 rd mag. This rifle shoots like a dream and is more accurate than most can shoot.
The 521-T is hard to find especially with the factory original Lyman sights. I'd like to get $475 for it as pictured but will consider reasonable offers. Located on the north east side of Indy and willing to travel a little bit. Will sell the rifle minus scope and case for $400.
