This Powell & Son side by side model is a 12 Ga. shotgun with 28-inch sleeved barrels and 2 1/2 inch chambers.
It has a checkered grip walnut straight stock.
The barrels appear to have been reblued and the wood stock appears to have been refinished.
The bores are in very good condition.
In overall good condition. S/N 10331.
Caliber: 12 Ga.
Chambers: 2 1/2 inch.
Metal Condition: Good. Reblued.
Wood Condition: Good. Refinished. Some handling marks. Some checkering missing on the left side. Top area of the comb looks replaced.
Bore Condition: Bright and shiny.
Barrels: 28 inches with a solid rib. Sleeved.
Triggers: Double.
Stock: Checkered grip walnut straight stock.
Stock Dimensions:LOP 14 5/8 inches.
Fore End: Checkered grip walnut splinter.
Butt Pad: Horizontal grooved walnut piece.
Weight: 6 lbs. 8 oz.
Sights: Metal front bead.
Chokes: Fixed Cyl. & Full.
Per William Powell records, this shotgun was manufactured for a "Mr. Bishop" on November 11, 1897 (122 years ago).
